UpStage Napa Valley is "theater from the heart." We believe theater was created to reveal truths about life. Through theater we heal, bond and entertain. We unite a dynamic ensemble who produce quality theater in an intimate setting.
Gaslight by Patrick Hamilton Directed by Sharie Renault
Gaslight is a psychological thriller that inspired the modern term “gaslighting.” Shockingly relevant today. The play follows Bella Manningham, a woman who begins to question her own sanity as strange events occur within her home. Objects disappear, sounds are heard at night, and the gaslights inexplicably dim—yet Bella’s husband, Jack, calmly insists that none of these things are happening. A play that will have you on the edge of your seat.

"It’s great that UpStage Napa Valley has continued to produce substantial material during this time, safely through video medium, for the community and beyond to experience. Thanks UpStage for your sharp creativity, finding a way to share your work and for "Keeping the Force" till we can all be together in person safely again!"
- Lauren Kanzer, Napa Valley Resident
"I have enjoyed watching 2 "Shelter-in-Place" episodes. Never have we dealt with threats to our human connections, with daily life being so fought with catching or spreading a fatal disease. It is such important work that UpStage continues to do."
- Lauren Kanzer, Long Time Fan Of UpStage
"UpStage Napa Valley is presenting its final performances this week of a fascinating and challenging play by Joe DiPietro called “Creating Claire” at St. Helena’s Grace Episcopal Church. It’s a production that brings into focus the conflict between religious faith and scientific theory, and it’s a real gem."
- Tom Stockwell, St. Helena Star
"We are privileged to witness a growing theater company in our midst, one that consistently performs stellar works in intimate spaces and invites us, by their talents and gifts, to join along with them in laughter, tears, drama, and comedy."
- Ruthanne Svendsen, Napa Valley Register
